Meridian Junior College's 6th Students Council
has officially stepped down from its office on
29th April 2009.

To all my dearest number 6, I hope our friendship will last forever. Once a family, always a family.

To all number 7, cherish the time you have in your Council term because it's not as long as you think it is. Sometimes, it may feel draggy but you'll realise how much you'd wish you had more time with your fellow council mates.

How was CCA Recruitment Day today? Did you guys and girls enjoy the Tea Session we had during the CCA Recruitment Day?? (:

If you guys have any queries, feel free to approach any councilor! :) i can gurantee you that this will be one of the most memorable and enjoyable time in jc. i learnt so much and made many close friends here :)

Few things to note, you will need to join another CCA first before you can apply for Council. (: Once you get into Council, you can either keep both CCAs or just make Council your only CCA. Also, Student Council does take up a lot of your time, as much as other CCAs. Just like any other CCAs, the SC requires your fullest commitment. But of course, you must be able to balance your studies as well. (:

Don't worry. If you have the passion for Council, just join!

Hey guys! If you see me in school, say hi ok? Don't be scared. But i'm not wearing my badge anymore. Any questions, can still ask me :D Also, don't study so hard now. Relax people! You stress now, you burn out soon. Now so much time, still can go library or anywhere to study. Permanent timetable liao how? No time already! When CCA starts how? So, must prioritise! Jia you people! :D:D:D Study hard but study smart HOR!

Hello j1s!

The forms to sign up for Students Council will be available from tomorrow onwards! If you are interested do take a form from the back of the General Office or from Councillors during CCA recruitment or from our Council booth.

The forms are due next wednesday, 18th February, so don't hand in your forms late! Handing in early will be fine of course!

Any questions, feel free to ask any councillors. We will all be more than willing to answer any queries. See you all! Hope to see many of you joining our big family!

hey people! promos will be starting on monday! all the best to all JC1s! may we all get promoted together! to start things off on this monday will be the H1 General Paper and H1/2 Economics paper! jiayous!

and of course, the most anticipated event after promos. MJC open house 2008! =) Meridians, we're all going to have a blast! ( Those who went to the MJC Open House last year should know how great it was!) *its a good time to physco your juniors from your secondary school to come. muahaha... :P

Remember to come to school on 30sept and 1oct for open house preparations!

Teachers' Day

Teachers' Day was fun! I'm glad it was a success by our standards! Thanks to all the councillors who worked tirelessly in the weeks leading up to the event and to all the councillors who stayed up in school the night before to work on the decorations and the other preparations!

Gladys: You were a really really great IC! Although you always seemed so cool and relaxed, we can all see the effort you've put into this and it all paid off so, great job!

Kamal & Afshan: You guys were great in supporting Gladys and never lost your cool despite all the setbacks and expectations. I really admire you guys for that. :D

Amalina: You really really have to take care of your health! Just go and see a doctor if need be! Despite your illnesses, you were a really brilliant Decorations IC! The hall looked brilliant! We soooo should have taken photos of it!

Cheekian: I really enjoy working with you to be honest. You are just really fun to be around and you just brightens everyone's day up! Just don't ever leave things to the last minute again! You almost gave me a heart attack! But really, great job as 2nd IC of Decorations and taking over where Ama left. It was great working under the both of you and under you as one of the "backstage coolies". You are soooo not cool though! Haha!

Ishleen & Samuel: Nice gifts! I know the both of you have alot more planned initially but considering the circumstances, the gifts were really nice!

Daryl & Yongjie: The banner is seriously so cute! Some things may not be within your control but try to understand where the TAs are coming from. =)

Hakim & Xavier: Posters and skit were both executed really well! And i'm really sorry for being so harsh, Hakim.

Chenpeng & Binli: The program went extremely well! The concert was really entertaining and enjoyable! Both your efforts really showed!

Loretta: No matter what you think, i really think you are a really dedicated, focused and creative councillor! The spider web turned out so much better than i had expected!

Kehui, Shiyeng, Samantha, Theodora: We were so efficient! It was seriously so nice working with you girls at the study benches! Despite us doing the same stuff over and over again, all of us persevered on and the outcome is so cool! And i'm so artistic, please!

Nina, Bixuan, Suankai, Atiqah, Yihui, Huixin, Weisheng, Supanee: Thanks alot for staying up so late to finish up the deco! All of us looked so tired at the end of the day but then no one complained at all! The decorations turned out all so brilliantly thanks to your efforts!

Maisarah, Shannon, Melissa: We feel your spirits with us. Haha! But seriously, thanks alot for all the efforts you girls put it, not only on the day, but prior to the day itself too.

Let's continue working hard for the other events! Continue giving one another the support we need, continuing the selfless attitude, continuing the desire we have in us to make every event successful! Don't ever give up and we will make it, 6th Students Council!

Teachers' Day!

Hey guys! its gonna be the last week of school for the JC1s! yup, our dear Jc2s have gone for their study breaks and will be having their first prelim paper on 2nd Sept! All the best to our JC2s for their prelims!!

Theme for Teachers' Day 2008-- Meridian Superheroes.

as for the JC1s~ teachers' day is coming right up this friday! we'll be having a teachers' day concert featuring perofrmances from our fellow meridians.. its also "Be Yourself Day" here, so let your creative juices flow and come dressed up to the theme for these event "Superheroes!" what a way to end term3! and thank you to all the classes who have contributed gifts for your teachers' presents so far! ( we have seen some really nice gifts!)..

Floorball Girls Finals!

Yeah! tomorrow will be the Finals match for the floorball girls! we'll be playing against YJC and they will be playing at Tampines Sports Hall. the match will start around 2pm. so do come down and show your support to the floorball team if you have the time!

MJC 6th SC proudly presents to you our lastest initiative--- Captured!

What's 'Captured!'?
- Its a chance for you to literally capture your most important moments here in MJC by decorating a jigsaw piece that will be assigned to every Jc1 class. This Jigsaw piece will serve to you all as a record of any memorable or exciting moments you've spent so far here in MJC!

What is it??
- Each Jc1 class will be given a jigsaw piece which they would be allowed to decorate in any way they like, according to the theme, Captured! To guide you along, there will be 3 sub themes, mainly Dreams, Entertainment and Growing Up provided to all Jc1s to give a rough idea on how to decorate the jigsaw piece! These jigsaw pieces will than be pieced together and be put up within the school compund!

Any Questions?
- Feel free to approach any student councilor to clarify any doubts you have regarding this event, e.g. how to decorate the assigned puzzle piece etc..

Remember! Submission of puzzle piece back to us will be 2 weeks starting from 14/7/08!

YEAH.. MJC soccer boys are the champions! after a gruelling ( not forgetting exciting!) match against VJC, we fought hard and came away with a 2-1 against VJC! hurrah! Not forgetting our English Drama crew, who have also done MeridianJC proud with a Gold for SYF! cheers to all the CCAs who have put in all the effort! Meridians will be behind you guys all the way!

* yup, i'll try my best to get a new layout for this blog soon. (i'm getting complains already~)
